“Hindi sinwerte, but at least got to mount the stage. Congratulations Thailand, they won the Best Entertainment Presenter trophy,” Aquino shared via her official Instagram account.

Aside from being the only Pinoy to be nominated under the Best Entertainment Presenter/Host category, Aquino was invited to be one of the presenters.

“I presented Best News, Best Lifestyle & Best Children’s Programs w/ my new friends Sean from Korea & Pierre from Singapore,” Aquino said.

Aquino stressed there’s no reason for her to be sad for not winning the award.

“Back in the hotel. Flying home tomorrow back to my favorite newfound career, stage mother of the year according to PNoy… Flying to Cebu on Saturday, December 7 w/ Kuya, Bimby & @ryzzamaechacha… Promoting #mylittlebossings on December 8 in SM Cebu. Wanted to bring home the trophy, but God gently reminded me my 2 most precious trophies r excitedly awaiting my return so there’s absolutely no reason to not be happy & content,” Aquino said.

The week after super typhoon Yolanda hit the country, Aquino turned emotional as she announced she was nominated in the Best Entertainment Presenter/Host category of the 2013 Asian TV Awards for her morning show on ABS-CBN.

“Sa totoo lang po, sa gitna ng pinagdadaanan natin, it gives me so much pride and honor to represent our country. Of course, hindi natin alam kung si Singapore ang manalo or si Thailand, pero parang panalo na tayo,” Aquino said.

“Just the fact that you are nominated is such a big achievement. Sorry kung nagiging emosyonal ako kasi ‘yung parating sinasabi ng tao na si God nakikita talaga lahat ng ginagawa mo and all,” she said.

Aquino, the youngest sister of President Benigno Aquino III, said she dedicated her nomination to the Filipino people, especially those who are affected by super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name Haiyan).

“Sa gitna po ng pinagdadaanan ng Pilipinas ay inaalay ko po ito sa inyong lahat. Kasi lahat po ng tagumpay, kung may tagumpay akong makukuha, ay ibinabalik ko po ito sa inyo and, of course, to my ABS-CBN family.

“This victory is ours, let’s claim the victory. It’s a victory because tayo lang ang only personality na host. In a non-acting category, from the Philippines, nanggaling sa ABS-CBN ang ni-nominate nila at ako po ‘yon. Kaya thank you very, very much,” she said.
